This policy explains how personal information is handled on this website, The Cofounder’s Hub. It covers the pages you can visit here, including the homepage, Cofounder Discovery, The Cofounder’s Handbook, Insights articles, the About and Tanis Jorge pages, and the Contact page.

It does not cover other websites you reach by following a link from here, such as booksellers, social media platforms or any other outside service. Those organizations have their own privacy practices.

We intend to handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian and British Columbia privacy requirements. We also aim to follow widely accepted privacy principles: being accountable for the information we hold, identifying why we collect it, obtaining consent, limiting what we collect, use, disclose and keep, protecting it, being open about our practices, allowing access and correction, and responding to complaints.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you enter, together with the part of the website you signed up from and the date and time of the signup. We store that information in our own secure database. It is not published, it is not readable by other visitors, and we do not sell or rent it. We use it only to send you the newsletter and related updates from The Cofounder’s Hub, and to understand where signups come from. You can ask us to remove your email address at any time.

The contact form on this website is still a staging form. It is not connected to any email service, database or backend. When you press the button, nothing is transmitted from your browser to us and nothing is stored. If you have contacted us some other way, for example by email or in person, that exchange is outside this website and is handled directly between us.

Cofounder Discovery is not open to the public yet. When it launches, the personal information it involves will be described in an updated version of this policy before anyone can sign up.

Even though the site’s own code does not gather information about you, no website can be delivered without some technical information passing between your device and the servers that host the site.
